Music at First Christian Church

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir at First Christian Church is a mixed choir that provides a wide variety of choral music for weekly worship services. The Chancel Choir rehearses from 6:30pm to 7:30pm each Wednesday from the beginning of September to the end of May.

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir provides additional music for worship services troughout the year. The choir sings periodically (every two or three months) and rehearses as part of their Sunday school classes. It includes children through fifth grade.

The Organ

The organ at First Christian Church is a 1987 McEvers organ, built by Jim McEvers of Champaign, Illinois. The two-manual instrument includes 13 ranks of pipes, consisting mostly of flutes, strings, reeds, and mixtures. More information will follow on the history of the organ as it is collected.
