The regular meeting of the Macomb Lions Club was held on January 20, 2011.  Members gathered in the dining room of the Grand Prairie Home with those members in attendance as shown on the Attendance Record and Guest Register.  Transcribed below is what happened at the meeting:

Program –  Captain Owen Thompson, Jr. – McDonough County Salvation Army

Reported that we helped them during Bell Ringing.  Macomb Club raised $383.  The Salvation Army has been in McDonough County since 1889.  See handout.  All funds raised stay locally in Macomb except for their annual tithe.

Business: 

1.  President Carter announced that our New Comer of the Year Award was given to Sherry Huffman. We will send her to the District Convention where she will be recognized by the District Governor.

2.  Sight and Sound Sweepstakes will be starting.  Lion Morgan will chair.

3.  Lightbulbs and Brooms - Lion Bishop showed us a broom that came from a supplier that DG Entwistle stated other Lions Clubs use.  We are to let DG Jim or Lion Bishop know what we think.

4.  Next Meeting – February 3^rd.
